1. Overview

Romandy CTO is a non-profit professional community for technology leaders in French-speaking Switzerland. By registering for our community, events, or member directory, you agree to the following terms.

2. Data Collection & Use

We collect information you voluntarily provide when registering (name, email address, company, job title). This data is used exclusively to:

• Send you event invitations and community updates
• Manage event registrations
• Display your profile in the member directory (only with your explicit opt-in consent)
• Improve our events and community experience

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Event Photography & Media

By attending a Romandy CTO event, you acknowledge and agree that photographs and video recordings may be taken during the event. These images may be used by Romandy CTO for communication purposes, including on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and promotional materials. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform the event organizer at the beginning of the event.

4. Member Directory

The member directory is an opt-in feature. Your profile is only displayed publicly if you explicitly enable visibility in your profile settings. You may edit or remove your information at any time. AI-generated superhero avatars are created from the photo you upload and are stored on our infrastructure. You retain the right to request deletion of your avatar at any time.

5. Communications

By joining the community, you consent to receiving occasional emails about upcoming events, recaps, and community news. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard infrastructure providers (Supabase, Clerk, Cloudinary). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

7. Your Rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and GDPR (where applicable), you have the following rights:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• Object to the processing of your data
